Friday, January 10th – Monday, January 13th, 2025 World Tour Days 69 – 72 The Garden Route is a stretch of coastland in South Africa that is popular for road trips. It hugs the east coast of the cape and has amazing coastal towns with lots of outdoor activities. We started with a 5 hour drive to Wilderness. Sunday, January 5th – Thursday, January 9th, 2025 World Tour Days 64 – 68 After the mayhem and excitement of our overland tour it was finally time to breathe again and be moving at our own pace. In Cape Town we stayed with a dear family friend, Michelle. It was exactly what we needed after the jam packed schedule we had for the past two months. Friday, January 3rd – Saturday, January 4th 2025 World Tour Days 62 – 63 Departing Namibia we crossed the South Africa border in the late morning. This was the last country for our overland truck journey, and we enjoyed a final snack stop. This first day in South Africa we made stops to look at the rooibos bushes, which only grow naturally there. We stayed at Marcuskraal, a citrus and rooibos farm. Sunday, December 29th – Thursday, January 2nd 2025 World Tour Days 57 – 61 Sadly, after two wonderful nights in Swakopmund we had to continue making our way south through Namibia. On our 6 hour driving day we made stops at various points of interest. First was an area with moonlike landscapes where it was visible tectonic plates went up and down. Our second stop was at the Tropic of Capricorn where the group got to stretch our legs. The last stop of the day before ending at the Solitaire desert was the Sesriem desert where we had a guided…
