Saturday, August 30th – Sunday, August 31st, 2025 World Tour Days: 302 – 303 Our extended layover in Croatia was finished and it was time to board our 3 hour bus to Ljubljana, Slovenia. As soon as we crossed the border the views were idealistic and quaint, exactly what we hoped the countryside of Slovenia would be. Each town was charming, with cute churches, rolling hillsides, and farms. I also counted 11 hawks sitting on farm fences within 1km of each other. When we arrived we walked straight to Sarrbing for lunch. Nick and I split dumplings, ramen, and a…

Friday, August 29th, 2025 World Tour Days: 301 Our night bus from Mostar to Zagreb, Croatia took about 8 hours and arrived at 6am. Unsurprisingly, we did not get much sleep on the bus. It’s funny because 99% of the Flixbuses we had been on have had chairs that recline, but for some reason this one did not. In fact, the last bus we took before this one my chair was broken so it was fully reclined the entire journey. After we arrived it was a short walk to our hotel which we had strategically booked near the bus station…

Tuesday, August 26th – Thursday, August 28th, 2025 World Tour Days: 298 – 300 Our bus from Montenegro departed about 1 hour late and arrived 2 hours late to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Considering how horrid the traffic was getting to Montenegro, only a 2 hour delay was not bad at all. It was a relatively easy walk to old town from the bus stop where our guest house was located. Our arrival was later then we expected so we had a light lunch and relaxed. The guesthouse came with free homemade ‘ice cream’. We thought the term ice cream…

Wednesday, August 20th – Monday, August 25th, 2025 World Tour Days: 292 – 297 Cetinje The travel day to Montenegro was pretty hectic but in the end it all worked out. The first bus ticket we had did not say where the bus departed from. Nick did some research online and was relatively sure where we needed to be, but there were no signs for our bus. Google maps had ‘busses to Montenegro’ at a different location. It didn’t help that the bus was 40 minutes late, either. We ended up waiting with a nice Australian couple who were taking…
