Tuesday, August 26th – Thursday, August 28th, 2025 World Tour Days: 298 – 300 Our bus from Montenegro departed about 1 hour late and arrived 2 hours late to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Considering how horrid the traffic was getting to Montenegro, only a 2 hour delay was not bad at all. It was a relatively easy walk to old town from the bus stop where our guest house was located. Wednesday, August 20th – Monday, August 25th, 2025 World Tour Days: 292 – 297 Cetinje The travel day to Montenegro was pretty hectic but in the end it all worked out. The first bus ticket we had did not say where the bus departed from. Nick did some research online and was relatively sure where we needed to be, but there were no signs for our bus. Google maps had ‘busses to Montenegro’ at a different location. It didn’t help that the bus was 40 minutes late, either. We ended up waiting with a nice Australian couple who were taking…

Monday, August 11th – Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 World Tour Days: 283 – 291 Arrival In Shkodër Our travel day was scheduled to be a 4 hour taxi from Lake Ohrid to Shkodër. As it turns out the Balkans have been discovered, but the infrastructure has not been able to keep up with the number of tourists. The 4 hour drive ended up being 9 hours with traffic. We were not prepared with snacks in the car so that was pretty brutal. Our driver did know of a nice seafood restaurant that was halfway, so that was a nice break.…

Friday, August 8th – Sunday, August 10th, 2025 World Tour Days: 280 – 282 Day 1: Arrival Day & Mystery Event After our time in Bulgaria we took a taxi 5 hours from Melnik to Ohrid, North Macedonia. On the drive we saw numerous sunflower farms and vineyards. Nick loves how many places here use grapes as shade for driveways and outdoor seating at restaurants. We saw plenty of that on the drive as well. Our guesthouse was in the old town, with a lovely view of Lake Ohrid and the orange-red roofs of the other old town dwellings. Our…
