Thursday, November 28th – Sunday, December 1st, 2024 World Tour Days 26 – 29 As has become typical for our Africa adventure, our journey down to Zanzibar started with lots of driving. Wednesday, November 27th World Tour Day 25 It was hard leaving the Serengeti National Park after our experience had been so incredible, but we were in store for another incredible day. As we left the Serengeti National Park we saw two cheetahs sitting on a large termite mound close to the road. They were snuggling, and watching in many directions. There was also the largest herd of wildebeest we had seen, which were about 3-6 wide and stretched as far as the eye could eye along the horizon. Sunday, November 24th – Tuesday, November 26th World Tour Days 22 – 24 On the 16th overland tour day we kicked it off with a full day drive from Nairobi, Kenya to Arusha, Tanzania where we spent the night at a campground with a pool. Tanzania is a large country so we had many long driving days in order to get to the places we wanted to see. The following day was a 7 hour drive finally making it to the Serengeti National Park. Saturday, November 16th – Saturday, November 23rd World Tour Days 14 – 21 We kicked off our next overland tour day with a 6 hour drive we made it to our campsite next to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda where we spent the next 3 nights. Our first morning had a 4:30am wake up call for our Uganda highlight activity, gorilla trekking.
