Follow us on our world tour

Tuesday, November 12th – Friday, November 15th World Tour Days 10-13 The 4th day on our overland tour started with a 12 hour drive from Kenya to Uganda. We stopped at a huge tea plantation in Kenya, and made our way through border control, which was relatively smooth. As we made our way to our camp for the night outside of Jinja City there were so many children chasing the truck, smiling and waving. This was followed by another 13 hour driving day, passing metal sheets set up to collect insects at night, children pushing tires with sticks, and outdoor…

Saturday, November 9th – Monday, November 11th World Tour Days 7-9 After our free days in Nairobi Nick, our friends Chloe and Alex, who will be joining us for our 57 day overland truck tour of Africa, and I made our way to the hotel where our tour would start from. Tuesday, November 5th – Friday, November 8th, 2024 World Tour Days 3-6 We arrived to Nairobi at 7:35am on the 5th, after our 5.5 hour flight from Doha, Qatar. We spent the first day just relaxing, organizing our belongings, and fighting the urge to go to bed too early. Our hotel was surrounded by lots of small markets, and in the distance skyscrapers. There were only a few things…

Sunday, November 3rd – Monday, November 4th, 2024 World Tour Days 1-2 Kicked off our World Tour with a 12.5 hour flight from Chicago, Illinois to Doha, Qatar. We flew with Qatar airlines, which I love due to the two full size meals you get onboard. We landed in the evening on the 4th. The airport is massive with tons of stores, sculptures and food courts. One of the walkways between areas was beautiful: a bridge through a forested area under the unique ceiling. The airport shape resembles sand dunes, which you can see clearly from the outside as you…
