Saturday, February 15th – Friday, February 21st, 2025 World Tour Days 105 – 110 We left Luxor in the late morning to start our journey to Marsa Alam. It took around 6 hours of driving with one rest stop. During the rest stop the man who worked at the little store showed us his two baby camels, about 1 year old each. They were cute and fluffy. Tuesday, February 11th – Friday, February 14th, 2025 World Tour Days 101 – 104 Nick and I departed Aswan by car in the morning to get to Luxor. We left 30 minutes earlier than scheduled but somehow ended up being 1.5 hours late since the driver needed to take that many smoke breaks for a 3 hour drive. Luckily, once we arrived everything was much smoother. Our hotel had a view of the Luxor Temple, the Nile river, and had an amazing rooftop restaurant that we ended up eating at numerous times. Friday, February 7th – Monday, February 10th, 2025 World Tour Days 97 – 100 We opted for a domestic flight to get to Aswan. Once in Aswan we checked in to our hotel. Once our taxi turned off of the main road and onto the road to the hotel there was a big difference. Instead of pavement it was dirt and rubble on either side. There were unattended garbage fires and dogs everywhere. The hotel itself was nice, though, with many balconies overlooking the Nile and one of the islands. Monday, February 3rd – Thursday, February 6th 2025 World Tour Days 93 – 96 We excitedly landed in our 11th and final country in Africa, Egypt, at 6:00am after a red eye flight from Johannesburg, South Africa. Our hotel sent their driver to get us from the airport and the drive went smoothly. We noted almost immediately that Cairo was a place where if there is a car it is honking. Constant honking from morning until late at night no matter where we were. It was fun people watching out the window with people seated sideways on scooters, delivery boys…
